Happiness

The Onion has a great article on happiness. It's one of those that almost turns out more sad than funny as you realize how true it is for so many people.

The article on happiness was thought-provoking. 30 years ago, I and others that I knew had some similar thoughts. Now, at 51 years old and with just a tad bit more wisdom, I am at my happiest when I'm just sitting with people I love the most and enjoying the interaction between us. Sitting and watching children grow and develop, sharing a meal even if it's a pizza, playing a game or just talking. These are the important things. The things you remember most. It's the happy memories you cherish when all else is gone. Unfortunately, it takes many people years before they truly understand this. And moments that could happen and be cherished for many, many years to come don't happen. And that's sad! Mom
